Lincoln Choral Society                      Patronage scheme

A Century of Singing

Founded 1896                                                                           Registered Charity no: 505023

The Society's 'Friends' Scheme helps us to continue the tradition of live choral music in Lincoln, and allows us to engage soloists of the highest calibre.

Enrolment provides worthwhile benefits to all who may wish to attend our future concert productions, and will help to perpetuate a high standard of choral music in and around Lincoln.

Meeting the production costs of staging our concerts, with high quality professional orchestral and soloist support, is becoming increasingly challenging.  By joining our 'Friends' Scheme, your support will greatly help the Society to promote and budget for future concert seasons, and will help to ensure a sound financial platform for the Society's future.

Benefits of joining the 'Friends' Scheme

For minimum annual fees of £25 for individuals or £45 for couples, you will receive:

  • the opportunity to buy one ticket per person for each concert, at a 50% discount, for an unallocated seat in the front central rows
  • the opportunity to buy extra tickets (at full price) for friends and family members, also for an unallocated seat in the front central rows (if they wish)
  • the right to attend final rehearsals in the Cathedral where you may observe the pre-concert preparations for the evening's performance in a more relaxed and informal atmosphere, and perhaps meet the soloists and musicians of the orchestra
  • recognition for your support by your name being listed both in concert programmes and on the Society's website
  • the right to a free ticket (at a concert of their choice) for each new Friend who you have personally introduced and for whom you have ensured enrolment in the Scheme

If you would like to become a Friend or Patron of the Society, please contact the Patronage Secretary, Sue Townsend
